Great new Boston band. The A-side is an instro trash rocker with soundbytes from the Ilsa movies. But check the flip, pure Jabbers-era GG punk rock. Coulda been off "Always Was..." Cool collectable 5" single!

This is the band that formed from the ashes of Out Cold, so I'll be damned if my expectations weren't high. Before I put this on, I had to stop myself. Maybe my expectations were a little too high...then again maybe not. When I heard it, all my doubts were put to rest. This is just a 2 song 5", one of which is an instrumental, and the other being a cover of the Eyes, that old Dangerhouse Records band. Musically, the Eyes cover sounds like...surprise surprise...the Eyes, except heavier in the guitar. The instrumental probably totes a Dead Boys influence, but once again the guitar is fuller and heavier, reminiscent of a slower Out Cold. The rhythm section is dead on, like clockwork. If this is supposed to be a taste of what's to come, I'm already hungry.
FLIPSIDE #115
Pretty much a bad idea to do a 5-inch record. I listen to stuff in the dark using the computer light to see. Popped it in the CD player. Automatic disc out, piss me off, and demerit. Sabotaged me. Fuckers. Two song single, one is lotsa "Ilsa" soundbytes (surely y'all love Ilsa, She Wolf Of The SS, Harem Keeper Of The Sheiks, Tigress Of Siberia...good, healthy fun) over a steady beat, the other an okeedokee cover of Eyes song "Don't Talk To Me." Pretty cool stuff. Keep it outta the disc changer.
