THIS IS KANGAROO NOT
BERKELEY |
Personnel:
Vocals: Mark Sheehan
Guitar: John Kozik
Bass: Jaye Toothaker
Drums: John Evicci
Recorded: March 2000
Release information:
- May 2000, Kangaroo Records (KR-026), 7". This had
two sleeves. The one on the right was subtitled "Sailin' On With
Kangaroo", limited to 100 copies and was given away at a special boat show in
Amsterdam during our 2000 European tour (the boat we played didn't look anything like the
one on the cover, by the way). On the bill that night: us, Brezhnev, Milkman,
Yawp, and The Fixtures. Below is a picture of the ticket for the show.
FYI: In case anyone doesn't get the idea behind the
cover, a while back someone did a parody of the classic comp This Is Boston Not L.A. and
called it This Is Berkeley Not Boston. Well, Kangaroo took it another step with
this. This was a different version of Just Plain Mean from what appeared on the
Voorhees split.
